The Infant Toddler Technical Resource Center, located at CCI, is a collaborative initiative of the NYC Child Care Resource & Referral Consortium and is funded by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
The Center provides:
- Information for providers on caring for children under the age of three.
- Training and professional development opportunities for program directors, family member, and child care providers caring for infants and toddlers.
- Technical assistance for potential and existing providers regarding best practices, regulatory requirements, and program accreditation.
- CCI offers an on-site library and an Infant and Toddler specialist. Training and technical assistance is available in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
CCI's specific work with the infant and toddler care community includes a number of interactive workshops including:
- Supporting Language Development and Early Literacy
- The Value of Self-Assessment: Using the Infant Toddler Environmental Rating Scale (ITERS)
- Meeting the Social and Emotional Needs of Infants, Toddlers, and Two's
- Infant Toddler Development
- Curriculum Planning
