Family Child Care Networks

Family child care (FCC) networks are organizations in the community that offer a comprehensive array of services to child care providers and help increase the number of child care slots for families in the community. Families and children may be referred through the network to a provider, or the provider may recruit the children and then join the network to receive support services such as training or participation in The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).

FCC networks can vary in size and structure. Some are small, freestanding, and work as independent entities offering services to providers. Others are part of a large organization that functions under an umbrella, and provides basic support services including book-keeping, clerical support, and training. It is up to the family child care provider to decide what kind of network best meets their needs.

If you are a family or group family child care provider who is interested in joining a local family child care network, please contact us at 212.929.7604.
