CCI, is now the Center for Children’s Initiatives (formerly Child Care, Inc.)
CCI recently completed an important strategic step with the launch of a new name and branding that better reflects the goals and breadth of our organization. CCI, as the Center for Children’s Initiatives, better captures the scope of our focus – taking action on behalf of young children and families. To find out more about CCI, click here:

The Center for Children's Initiatives seizes every opportunity to promote quality early learning, healthy development and care for all children, birth through school-age. As a child care resource and referral agency, CCI has in-depth knowledge of the field and strong community ties, which provide the broad vision necessary to promote public policies that support high quality early care and education. Strategic partnerships allow CCI to participate in building a strong, coherent system of services for New York's children.
CCI convenes the Early Childhood Strategic Group, a partnership of 20 organizations dedicated to creating an integrated and high-quality system of early care and education for New York City's children. As co-convener of the statewide Winning Beginning New York coalition, CCI leads statewide advocacy and policy work on early care and education for young children.
CCI provides the most comprehensive look at early care and education in New York City in its biannual CCI Primer Publication, which provides data on access to services, public funding and the scope of services for young children. The CCI Primer provides a framework for advocates and policymakers to identify trends, challenges and opportunities. For highlights of the 2008 CCI Primer, click here.
